Terms and Conditions – Services


The price given is a true estimate of what we expect to charge you based on an evaluation. If there are unforeseen circumstances that we could not have been aware, additional labour and materials which may be required should problems arise. That will affect the price; we will provide you with an updated estimate. You have the right to accept the price or decline. Payment will be required for any work completed up to the point you cancel.  If any extra work needed to be added which has not been included in this estimate, it must be done later a new job estimate.



If a quote was given it is a fixed price and cannot be changed or altered of the price of cost on materials, tool hire and labour when it comes to paying the invoice. Any extra materials and labour needed for the work you will not be charged for it as it’s a quote not an estimate.


Dulux 2 Year Workmanship Guarantee

Any other brand which is used not made by AkzoNobel (Dulux, Sikkens, Polycell, Hammerite, and Weathershield Armstead Trade Cuprinol Trade) and not followed by the other brands manufactures instructions, also decorators professional advice not taken, any poor substrates, inadequate specification made by the homeowners, the work is not on private residential premises severe climate exposure can result early breakdown in surface coatings, the work will not be undertaken by an employee or/subcontractor not registered under the Dulux Select Decorators Scheme which will not be covered by the Dulux 2-year workmanship guarantee.



We will endeavour to complete the work within the specified time. We are only liable for delays caused by our negligence. Any work will be completed within a reasonable time. We will not be liable for any damage unless caused by our negligence.



If there is any furniture or furnishings in the way, where it needs to be decorated it is owners responsible to remove any furniture out of the way prior to painting and decorating, any furniture cannot be moved will be covered over with dust sheets.


It’s the owner’s responsibility remove and cut away any bushes, plants, and trees in the way before painting and decorating the exterior.  


Any tools and materials needs cleaning after decorating will not be cleaned on the owner’s premises, only when using spray machines which will require cold water and electric to clean them out with straight after use.

There may be a small amount of deposit required for paint and materials. Unless using any tools/scaffold being hired which will then require a payment at beginning of the job just enough for to cover the cost of hiring tools mobile tower and fixed scaffolding.



Full payment is required within 10 days on satisfactory completion of work from when the invoice was given if client fails to make any payment within the 10 days it right to charge the client default interest at the rate of 2% daily charge compounded from the total of the invoice until the invoice is paid in full. In the unlikely event, you are dis-satisfied; you are entitled to withhold an amount to reflect any remedial work that may be required. We should be given the opportunity to complete any remedial work.



We work in line with the Supply of Goods & Services Act, which states that any work or service carried out for you must be done with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time and for a reasonable charge (if not agreed beforehand). Any goods/parts provided should be of satisfactory quality, fit for the purpose and as described. If in the unlikely event a problem arises, we aim to resolve the issue within a reasonable time.



If you would like to change what is to be supplied, we would request that you confirm this in writing or other durable form (e.g. email).  This will ensure both parties have appropriate records and can refer to what was agreed.



New Cancellation of Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) regulations came into effect in June 2014. This means You have a right to cancel this contract as the work was agreed whilst we were in your home or when agreed with the estimate/quote has been sent to you. The cancellation form will be sent to you if you agreed to the contract from the estimate/quote. Then you will have a chance to cancel the contract within 14 days from the day/date you have agreed with the estimate/quote. You can cancel at any time up until the cancellation period expires.


If the work is agreed in your home but you want the work to start before the end of the cancellation period due to an emergency, I can ask you to sign a form requesting you to start work before the end of the cooling off period. If you, the customer subsequently changes their mind and decides to cancel, they must pay for all the work carried out including materials and labour.
